Overview
This week, I worked to clean up some of my finished code, and start work on implementing a Thanks Giving scene to conclude the game with.
Challenges
The main challenge this week has been figuring out how to approach the thanksgiving address. We do have a brief 'thanking' audio to make use of, but otherwise, I have been struggling to think of a unique and interesting way to present an entire Thanks Giving address. Additionally, last week's effort to find an approach to avoid water clipping has been fruitless.
Successes
So far, building the Thanks Giving scene has been going very well. Most of the assets have already been implemented in other scenes, so far most of the work has been a matter of re-importing them for this scene, removing the user's ability to collect them, and give them a new position. Additionally, the scene design has been coming along really well, I think that the use of a particle system for 'fireflies' in the low lighting really makes the scene feel polished. Also, to fix Avery managed to come up with a solution to the water clipping issue with his updated canoe model. This likely lets me sidestep the water issue entirely.
