Overview
This week, we polished off our Proposal Document which gave us a solid idea as to what we needed to say in our Alpha Presentation. Now that our team has all the groundworks finalized, we can get to the fun stuff.
Challenges
The biggest items on our to-do list this week were obviously the alpha and proposal submissions. Our group met 3 times as a result, to come up with a product we were happy with. The biggest challenge with this was how time consuming it was. thankfully we're a very agreeable group and we all found it easy to come up with solutions to the topics we covered in the proposal and how we want to carry out our next steps to our experience.
Successes
Although it was time consuming, we'd still consider our proposal and presentation a success as we are proud of what we submitted. We also determined we want to go for a low-poly style for modelling to hopefully be able to model as many artifacts as we can so we can best represent their culture. Another success I had this week was making advancements on modeling modern and vintage lacrosse sticks. Below you can see examples of the sticks that were referenced to us by some of the students we are collaborating on this project with, along with my models of said sticks.
Next Steps
As we move on, we get to finally start making this proposal become a reality. Now, us modelers get to divide up the rest of the artifacts we want to showcase. We have a number of artifacts we want to include for each era, then we also have to model the environment to capture the feelings we aim to invoke in each time period.
