Overview
This past week was beta week so we spent the majority of the time sharing assets so the programmers could configure the A-Frame scenes. On Friday, we figured out our presentation details and who was going to talk about each part of our breakdown.
Challenges
One of the challenges we faced was that we could not figure out how to get the A-Frame Environment component to work in our canoe scene with the water component. The workaround we decided on way just to model the land in Maya and just import it into the canoe scene.
Successes
I think we were content with the amount of content we got into our beta submission. Originally, we said we wanted to get the whole pre-contact era functioning with transitions and artifacts and we were able to do that while sticking to our original timeline.

This is how the terrain for the canoe scene turned out:
And this is how it looks from the position of the canoe:
(lacking water in the river as that is done in A-Frame)
Next Steps
Moving forward, this next week, I need to finish up the canoe scenes for the post-contact and present day, this will consist of changing out the tree types as well as washing out the colours to emphasize how nature lost its beauty over time as the Mohawks lost their land from the raids in the post-contact era, to nature slowly returning in present day.
